A Springs native and East Hampton High School graduate, Matt Burns brings both local knowledge and seasoned industry experience to his work in Hamptons real estate. After earning his degree from Saint Joseph’s University, Matt began his real estate career in 2012 at Sotheby’s International Realty, where he had the opportunity to work under one of the top brokers in the country. That foundation helped shape his professional approach and commitment to excellence.
In 2015, Matt became one of the first agents to join Compass in the Hamptons, playing a key role in building the brand’s local presence. He is known for blending analytical insight with creative vision—often drawing on his artistic talents to assist with staging, marketing, and helping clients see the full potential of a space.
Matt lives in the Hamptons with his wife Rachel and their daughter Blake. Outside of work, he enjoys surfing, golfing, and playing music, always finding inspiration in the rhythm and beauty of the East End lifestyle.
